WOW! I can hardly believe that it has been nearly a month since my last posting here. It has been some crazy weeks. Finishing up the school year for both kids, getting wisdom teeth removal & senior portraits set-up for my son between finals, parades, work, band performances, and all needed to be completed prior to Monday, June 16th. Whew! I can say it ALL got finished, oh, and that also included an Eagle Project installation for my son, too. My daughter was almost as hectic, a band performance in the park, year-end school events, a day at HersheyPark, color guard try-outs and sign-ups for Middle School Summer Band, plus church camp. I had a few more weeks to complete her agenda though.
Then there was a quick decision to plan a week long trip to the cabin. We managed to get that all arranged and it rained almost the entire week, so our "to do" list still has most of the items on it. Oh well, like they say, make plans & God will laugh at you. We did have a lot of fun despite the rain. It's always good to get away & "unplug" from the rest of the world.
We have suffered a few losses over the past several weeks as well. Two of our friends from our Caving Group have passed away. Their loss will be felt for a very long time. They were good friends and we shared many great times with them & the Grotto. RIP Ken & Kenny.
It did our family well to have this time together. Reconnected with what matters the most, each other.
