My Tree

I wanted to take a moment to thank my children for decorating the tree this year.  Normally this is something that has always been "Mom's thing" to do.  However with working, I just couldn't get it done when I wanted to this year.  My son came home from college on the 11th and has been a terrifically HUGE help to me with my "to do" list.

my favorite - tree lit & no other lights in the room

the ornaments: handmade, hallmark & white house ornaments

He and his sister were good elves and decorated the entire tree for me after our light debacle.  I was just so frustrated that I couldn't see past the mishap with all of the hours I was working at the time.  Here are some more photos of my lovely tree.

George's 1st Christmas - I made this one

what really matters...made this one my 1st Christmas on my own.

Thanks kids for helping your Mom out with the holiday stress.  I LOVE you for it!

Santa Visited Us Early!

We were blessed to have the company of good friends on the 19th. It's always a good time when we get together. The kids enjoyed their gifts as did we...

also appears that the feeling was mutual.

I am so glad to see these types of reactions, it's part of what makes the season special - giving & spreading Joy.

Santa also stopped by on Monday with a special delivery for Eric.

This wouldn't fit in his stocking.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Eye-Fi Digial SD Card

I'd like to take a moment to tell you about my experience with the Eyefi Wireless SD card.  I purchased one a year ago last spring.  It took me almost 18 months to get around to using it.  I was afraid it was complicated to set up & had asked my techie husband to help me set it up.  Well, after waiting for 15 months I decided to attempt this on my own.  Once I went to Eyefi website and began investigating the set up of the card to connect with the WI-fi from my camera to download the photos directly to my laptop.  I have wanted this feature for quite some time now; especially while on vacation, or at family events when I have 100+ photos to get off my camera.

Once finding the correct link for the download of the desktop software I needed on Eyefi's website, it was a breeze to set up.  Why do I wait so long to get "aroundtuit"?  It was so simple even for a novice to set up.  I love that I can come back from my events, set my camera on the table near my laptop, turn on both my camera & laptop and Viola!  The photos are transferring to my laptop in their own file.  There is also cloud storage through Eyefi available, however I do not use that feature as I have another back-up source.

If you're looking for something for that Photog that seems to have it all this just may be the perfect answer.  There are several options.  I chose to get the 32GB mobi card +WiFi due to the volume of photos I take and not always being able to clear my card while on vacation.  To compare the different cards this page is very useful Eyefi Products

I am just sorry that I waited SO long to actually install the software to start using the card - it was such a simple process.  I have loved the set up ever since I started using it this past May.
